Shiba Inu Unlocks SHIB Metaverse With Over 100K Land Plots

Shiba Inu is the meme-coin project which mimicked dogecoin and has now announced that it will be launching its own version of the metaverse. The project, “Shib: The Metaverse,” will allow more than 100K plots to be unlocked at different times. The prices of the plots will depend on where they are located. They will then be sold for ether, not the native token of the metaverse.

Shiba Inu launches Puppy Metaverse

Shiba Inu is one of the meme-tokens that was launched to mimic the idea of dogecoin. Now, it has announced the creation of its own metaverse initiative. The project is called “Shib: The Metaverse” and will integrate with Shiboshis NFTs that were issued previously. This project will be developed by an unnamed third-party gaming studio, according to the team.

The announcement was made by the project team.

Shib: The Metaverse is the culmination our history as a community. It’s a layer of beautiful visuals which showcases our innovation and unity with a place we can call home.

The announcement also states that all tokens from the Shiba Inu community will play an important role within the metaverse and that there will be a lot of interaction in this virtual world.

Prices and Land Plots

“Shib” is aiming to have the largest land maps in comparison with other similar projects. This team confirmed that over 100K land plots would be created. These plots can be used for more than decoration. Although there were no details on how these plots would be monetized the Shiba Inu Development team said:

Shib:The Metaverse landowners will be able generate passive income, collect in-game resources and earn rewards.

The team will keep a portion of these plots to serve as common ground for players to use to traverse the metaverse. Each plot will be priced differently depending on which metaverse tier it is.

The team was forced to explain that the prices for the land plots were in ether, rather than in SHIB (the native token of this project). They stated that they were addressing this issue:

The Metaverse team will be using the funds collected to pay for development. Therefore, they have chosen to use a neutral currency that can be converted into stablecoins to pay all sources.
