Opera Crypto Browser Supports The BNB Chain

The crypto-friendly browser allows users to access popular decentralized apps such as PancakeSwap and 1inch, which are based on BNB Chain.

Opera, a web browser that supports Web3, has announced support for Binance’s smart contract blockchain, BNB chain, on desktop as well as mobile.

Opera Taps BNB Chain

Opera announced in a blog post that it has integrated its Crypto Browser with BNB. Users will be able to buy BNB tokens using fiat and send and receive the assets via the built-in cryptocurrency wallet.

Users will also have access to BNB Chain-based, decentralized applications. Opera will allow users to access popular decentralized exchanges like PancakeSwap and 1inch as well as products such as DRIP Venus and Tranchess.

Opera stated that the partnership could take Web3 adoption to a new level. Further details were provided in the announcement.

Opera’s BNB Chain integration is a further step in streamlining mainstream Web3 access. Opera Crypto Browser allows existing BNB Chain dApps users and token holders to join millions of Windows, Android and Mac users around the world in enjoying unique Web3 access functionality.

Opera has formed partnerships with many blockchains over the years. Opera has increased its support for nine major blockchain platforms, including Bitcoin and StarkEx, StarkEx, Ronin and Celo.

Opera stressed that it doesn’t intend to be focusing on one token or blockchain. Opera plans to allow users many options by integrating multiple blockchains and decentralized domain-naming systems into its crypto browsers. Opera also plans to add Layer 2 features.

Explore Web3

This latest integration follows Opera’s beta release last month of a Web3 browser that can be used on iOS devices like iPhone and iPad. In January, the Norwegian company launched its highly anticipated ‘Crypto Browser” project.
