Fans Can Buy Game Moment NFTs In Person at the NBA Summer League Games in Vegas

The Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas will offer the opportunity to buy non-fungible tokens (NFTs) from the NBA Top Shot collection in person. NBA Top Shot fans will now be able to purchase an NFT moment from a live game for the first time.

NBA Top Shot Kiosk will offer NFTs during the Summer League Games

An NFT you can purchase online is one thing. But an NFT that is physical and can be bought in person is quite another. The firm behind NBA Top Shot, which makes NFT collectibles, announced on August 3 that they will sell exclusive NFTs at the Summer League games of August 8-9 and 10. A “Moment-in-arena” NFT will be available for fans to purchase. It will highlight one “great play per game” from Summer League games.

The announcement states that NBA Top Shot fans will be able to visit the Top Shot kiosk located at the arena in Vegas. The unique NFTs will then be sent to the customer. Fans can also use the new Moments Fandom Tier. The Fandom Tier is “Living in between rare and common,” according to the Top Shot announcement.

The NBA Top Shot NFTs are a joint venture between Dapper Labs and the National Basketball Association that began in the summer 2019. Top Shots CEO Roham Gharegozlou said that the product is a revolutionary new experience that allows you to collect jaw-dropping plays as well as unforgettable highlights. This joint venture was launched by the National Basketball Association and Dapper Labs in the summer of 2019.

Accounts will receive Top Shot NFT Game Moments

This will be the first opportunity for game highlights to be sold in the arena in NFT format at a Summer League game. The announcement states that these in-arena Moments can be pre-purchased for $5 at Section 111 of Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. “[They] will be issued based on arena purchases made on game day, with a minimum Edition size of 1,000.”

NBA Top Shot also states that fans will receive a random serial number and can purchase ten each day. The firm details that these Moments will be sent to collector accounts as soon as possible and possibly even the next day.

The NBA Top Shot team isn’t the only NFT company that offers in-person NFTs. Bitcoin.com News reported that Topps, a popular trading card company, had launched the “2021 Garbage Pail Kids Food Fight” series. Customers could find an NFT trading card in random packs of this series, which were previously available at Walmart and Target.
